Country Weekend

Senior Country Weekend for both men and women will be on again - on the Queen’s Birthday Weekend 11th/12th/13th June. The Women’s tournament will once again be held at Geelong and .the men will be at Footscray

 

Junior Country Weekend is the first weekend of the Term Two school holidays (2nd/3rd July). These championships are usually played at State Hockey Centre, Footscray and Hawthorn Hockey Grounds. Other venues may be used, depending on the number of teams entered.

 

Under 11s Dandenong Tournament

Greater Dandenong Warriors Under 11 carnival is scheduled for Sunday 19th June and we will shortly receive further information. In the past, individual clubs have entered teams, but it has been decided that this year we will enter them as West Gippsland representative teams. A new format which we hope will benefit all our children.

 

Nomination Forms

If you are interested in representing West Gippsland at any of  these events, please fill an Expression of Interest  form and hand it to your club development officer by Saturday 7th May, to be passed on to the appropriate WGHA person.

 

We would also like to hear from parents interested in coaching, team manager or umpire.

 

All nominating players (except Under 11s) will be required to lodge an amount of $40 with their form. This will allow the entry fees to be paid on your behalf. (The total entry fees payable will be in excess of $2500)

This will be the total cost required to be paid by juniors (Under 13, Under 15 and Under 17 teams).

For Under 11 players nominating for Greater Dandenong Carnival, the cost will be $15.00

 For seniors, the amount will be deducted from the total cost payable prior to the event.

 

 

Under 11s Dandenong Tournament

Geelong Under 13 Championship is later in the year and by invitation only. Cost and information about this event will be distributed later in the season.
